Blue Bird Crystals began as a quiet vision on a beach in Bahia, where river and sea meet in the soft light of late afternoon. In 2015, Marco, Brazilian writer, wanderer, and lifelong listener to the subtleties of the world, asked his mother to read the shape of a dream he could feel forming.
In her words, “Pássaro Azul,” the Blue Bird first revealed itself. From that moment, the path unfolded with its own kind of clarity. What began with Marco carrying crystals from Brazil to California grew into something far larger: a life built around the beauty of the Earth, the people who work closest to it, and the quiet power of minerals freshly sourced from the land.
Lisa, a Swiss-Italian musician with an artist’s sensitivity for resonance and rhythm, joined her life and work to his. Together, they have crossed continents, from Brazil to the U.S., France, and Switzerland, standing in the soil of mines and by the tables of gem shows, and visiting the homes of miners whose families have worked the land for generations. These relationships, forged face-to-face, are the heart of Blue Bird: trust, reciprocity, and genuine care.
