Meet the Team

Behind Blue Bird Crystals are a handful of thoughtful hands and curious minds - each shaping, refining, and polishing the pieces that help Blue Bird take flight.

From vision to craft, we each play a part in bringing clarity, structure, and quiet beauty to everything we create.

Marco

Brazilian-born and raised in the mineral-rich lands of Minas Gerais, I've always felt a deep connection to crystals - to me, they're no different than poetry.
Their silent language speaks to the soul, much like the verses I write.
I studied Philosophy and the History of Religion in Brazil and Portugal, which shaped my approach to life, healing, and meaning. In 2015, I founded Blue Bird as a space where ethics, aesthetics, and the eneryy of the Earth come together.
As the visionary behind Blue Bird, I maintain close relationships with miners and suppliers, ensuring transparency, fairness, and care at every step. I also guide our communication and philosophy - the voice and vision of our project.
Alongside my work with crystals, I'm a poet and practitioner of lithotherapy, always exploring how mineral energies meet human intention.

Lisa

Swiss-Italian by roots, I moved to Brazil in 2024 - the year I reconnected with my lifelong love for crystals. As a teenager, I gave them away, unsure of their origins and the environental impact behind their beauty.
Through Blue Bird, I’ve returned to my interest in minerals by understanding the process they go through - from the earth to the hands that shape them - and the responsibility that comes with each step.
Years later, with Blue Bird, I found my way back. This time, knowing the origin and ethics behind each crystal changed everything.
I studied Sustainability and Botany in Zurich, shaping how I connect with nature and our work.
At Blue Bird, I lead photography, design, and storytelling, blending marketing and communication. I’m also a musician and weaver, collaborating with Indigenous families who craft our handmade textiles.

Luiza

I’m Marco’s sister (and all time best friend). I study cultural anthropology at UC Berkeley, and I’ve been part of Blue Bird Crystals since 2020.
My love for crystals runs alongside my passion for photography and videography - especially when I get to bring the stones into nature and spend time with them in the special places, be that in Mount Shasta or back home in Brazil.
I help host our weekly live sales and handle many of the behind-the-scenes details, from sorting to shipping, but my favorite moments are always the quiet ones outdoors, when we bring the crystals with us to enjoy the sun, a stream, or the soil.
